Thank You for Being Part of Our New Editing Community

by Paddy Bird on
December 10, 2020

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being part of our new editing community with the Once Upon a Timeline podcast. In just six months we’ve gone from nothing to having members in over 110 countries around the world.

It’s been a crazy year, and we hope that you and your loved ones are safe and well despite everything that is going on.

We’re taking a break for a few weeks to prepare for all of the amazing things we have planned for early 2021: a ton of brand new tutorials for the ITE Course, an epic four hour live Bootcamp webinar in January and, of course, lots of new episodes of Once Upon a Timeline.

All of us at Inside The Edit wish you a fun-filled holiday season and hope that wherever you are in the world, you and your loved ones are safe and healthy.

Much love to you all and see you again on January 7th 2021!

Actuality is the most popular genre in worldwide broadcast output today. With high shooting ratios and short deadlines, actuality editors are some of the fastest in the industry. But it is a very complex art form to cut with tons of unique visual grammar that needs to be obeyed.

In this month’s Bootcamp we’ll take you though all of the techniques and concepts used by the pros in reality TV and observational documentary.

Are you Drowning in a Sea of Technical Editing Courses?

It’s frustrating that every single course on the market teaches you all about the software but nothing about how to edit. The industry doesn’t care how many buttons you’ve memorised, it cares whether you can craft powerful films.
